The evening wine hour was a charming touch that encouraged mingling with fellow guests, while the beautifully maintained common areas provided a cozy atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring Christchurch.

The queen room was new-fashioned, included a bathtub and hooks. The design was excellent...
Couldn't find any faults at all.

Excellent location short walk to the centre, shops, restaurants, tram ride and art centre, the best private art gallery in the city, and the tram. For tea or coffee visit Boulevard Cafe & Bar nearby. Luxurious twin room, exceptionally comfortable beds.

Charming stay with a homely vibe
Breakfast featured fresh and delicious options like croissants and fruit compote.
While the overall experience was lovely, the creaky floors in old rooms and some minor issues with shower pressure detracted from the comfort. Plus, navigating the locks at night wasn't the most seamless experience.

The hotel was fairly large, and the meals were delicious, I greatly enjoyed the great location next to shops, attractions, restaurants and bars, the art gallery and tram stops and to-center og town. The people were superbly friendly and outstandingly accommodating, will exceed the expectations. Delightful and lovely breakfast included croissants, cereals and eggs. Everything was good, I couldn't recommend more.

Charming Victorian house creates a warm atmosphere.
I struggled with noisy creaky floors, made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful night. The shower pressure was disappointingly weak, leaving me frustrated after long days of exploring. Some traffic noise from the street seeped into my room.

Cozy atmosphere with a variety of room sizes. Immaculate rooms complemented by spacious bathrooms provide comfort .
WiFi connection posed a bit of a challenge, and the absence of details on using the TV remote was frustrating. Breakfast options offered little more than basic items, limited to boiled eggs and toast, which could use more hearty choices.

The only cooked option for breakfast was boiled eggs, absoluteley unacceptable. The upper floor was creaky, combined with the frigid air since the heater didn't work woudl ve been a perfect recipe for a comfortable stay. I expected a lovely welcome amenity but-not even a complimentary water bottle in sight. I just couldn't give a good review.

The charm of the heritage building is amazing. Helpful staff ensured an enjoyable stay, and the breakfast options were notably delicious. There was some noise from the street at night, and I found the shower pressure somewhat lacking. Thicker curtains could enhance comfort during restful nights.

This was just a strong match for a brief hiatus in Christchurch with value for money. The fresh fruit compote at breakfast was a delicious surprise. Be ready for some street noise if you're a light sleeper.

cozy but needs better amenities
The ambiance in the historic building created a warm and inviting stay. The cozy garden was lovely. The staff were genuinely accommodating and offered assistance with local suggestions and attractions. The room's view of the garden was a pleasant surprise that enhanced our experience.
Traffic noise at night disrupted our rest.
